Coast Guard DIG B K Loshali has been sacked for contradicting the official stand on the sinking of a Pakistan fishing boat last year.
On December 31, 2014, a Pakistani fishing boat was intercepted by the Indian Coast Guard off the coast of Gujarat . The vessel caught fire and sunk along with four occupants.
The Government officials led by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said the occupants of the board were "possible terrorists" who had committed suicide by blowing up their own boat.
