Balvinder Singh, who was shot dead on Tuesday in Karimnagar for going on a stabbing spree, has been described as a star student who kick-started his career in IT industry in style.  He was campus recruited from NIT Warangal by Oracle, where he did well, and was drawing a salary of Rs 18 lakh a year.

Balvinder Singh, who was shot dead on Tuesday in Karimnagar for going on a stabbing spree, has been described as a star student who kick-started his career in IT industry in style.

He was campus recruited from NIT Warangal by Oracle, where he did well, and was drawing a salary of Rs 18 lakh a year.

According to the police, after failing in civil services, Balvinder Singh got depressed and was under treatment

Deccan Chronicle reports that Balvinder Singh had stood 4th in AP Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) in 2010 and had joined NIT Warangal from where he also earned his post-graduate degree in MCA.

People who knew described him as a top student, cool and friendly.

Balvinder Singh had earlier studied at Gowthami Model School and gone Sri Chaitanya Degree College in Karimnagar.
