A video, which had gone viral, shows a Saudi employer beating the men with a wooden plank.

The three men had been promised jobs in Yemen as electricians. But they were duped by a placement agency and taken Abha in Saudi Arabia instead and forced to work in a brick manufacturing company.

The men, from Haripad town in north Kerala, had sent the video to their family members appealing for help.

The video created a stir in Kerala prompting Chief Minister Oommen Chandi to approach Indian embassy for help.
