Indian Navy test-fired the Barak-8 Long Range Surface-to-Air Missile from INS Kolkata on Wednesday.
The missile, which was fired at a high speed target in the Arabian Sea , gives Indian Navy the capability to bring down enemy planes, helicopters, drones and projectiles.
While the missile had been tested on Israeli ships earlier, it was fired from an Indian ship for the first time.
