2016: Dubai plans 20 minute cascading fireworks to welcome New Year (Watch video)

Dubai has planned to lead a 20 minute firework display to greet 2016 and cement its position as world’s top tourist destination.   It will set off fireworks, which will cascade across UAE landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi and Flag Island in Sharjah.
An animation video that shows a chain of fire entangling iconic UAE landmarks has gone viral. (Video below)

Dubai has planned to lead a 20 minute firework display to greet 2016 and cement its position as world’s top tourist destination.

It will set off fireworks, which will cascade across UAE landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi and FlagIslandin Sharjah.

An animation video that shows a chain of fire entangling these buildings has gone viral.

The domino fireworks are set to commence from Downtown Dubai at midnight. They will burn in a chain all the way to Burj Al Arab at 12:09 am and then to Jumeirah Beach Residence at The Beach for the finale at 12:16 am.

UAE hopes the buzz will draw more tourists. The Burj Khalifa observation deck was recently voted as the world’s best tourist spot across several categories in an online poll.
