Russian airline Aeroflot refused to fly four Kashmiri students from New Delhi to Istanbul recently, despite their having all relevant official travel documents.
After that, Aeroflot also failed to refund the money spent by the students on the tickets.
Mohd Iqbal Rather, one of the students involved, told Mail Todaythat Aeroflot provided no reasons for doing this.
Iqbal Rather, from Aligarh Muslim University, and his three fellow students, were traveling to Turkey to participate in a nine-day conference on "Concept of Social Justice in Islam."
An anonymous official from New Delhi airport informed that the students did not have luggage, money and original invitations to the conference.
