The plight of Renu, who is from Kusrur village in Bahadur block of Basti district, had touched many a heart after a Facebook post recorded her trauma.
The girl was carrying a large tumour at the back of her head and was in constant pain.
Her poor parents, who work as daily labourers, could not afford to get her any treatment. They also have six other children to look after.
