Thanks to the strong relationship he is in now, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh says he has left his Casanova days behind.
The success of Bajirao Mastani has out him ahead of his generation of stars, who he says feel insecure in his presence.
In a candid interview with GQ magazine, Ranveer Singh admits to being in a relationship and acknowledges that the woman in his life has helped him to get to this stage
He does not name her though, whose identity, as they say, is an open secret. By the way, GQ notes that while the interview was on, Ranveer Singh got a call from his Bajirao Mastani co-star Deepika Padukone.
Ranveer Singh says the woman in his life has been a straightening influence.
“I fucked around a lot till I was 26… but I love being in a relationship. It’s the best thing ever,” he says.
“My whole thought process has changed. My priorities have changed. My mind — set, my outlook, my worldview — everything is changing. Motherfucker! I must be growing up.”
Ranveer Singh is willing to speak about the wild days he left behind, without inhibition.
He says he first had sex when he was 12 with a 14-year-old. He also recalls the first condom he used: Durex.
The nostalgia was enough to make him become the first mainstream celebrity to ever promote a condom brand, Durex in this case,
He informs that he called up Durex on his own and said he wanted to work with them, and went on to feature in a condom ad that has been described as infamous.
“Anyway, I wrote the ad myself,” says Ranveer Singh.
