Both the birds, native to Australia, had bit into the meat and neither was willing to let it go.

What was at stake was not hunger – they rejected larger slices of meat offered by Jig Magic, a human who also took a video.

It was pride they fought for sitting on a fence, eye ball-to-eye ball or beak to beak.

The reportedly duelled for over 30 minutes ignoring the humans in the vicinity.

Jig Magic says he tried to distract them by offering a large slice of meat. Then he covered them with tissues to keep them warm. He even put seashells on their head as hats to see if they would notice.

They shrugged off the seashells and continued to duel.

Nabrangpur District Collector Rashmita Panda, however, told the newspaper that two vehicles were available at Umerkote near Jharigaon to transport the dead woman.

The Hindu also recalled that a dead farmer had been similarly transported on a bike at Nabarangpur a few months ago.

While some people are dragging the country towards its sanskaari roots, Indian youngsters have opened up to play with their sexuality like never before.

You ask a question on sex, they give you an answer without holding back, as many independent filmmakers are finding out.

So Efin Cray, which has dealt with the  subject before,  asks a group of girls what they like while having sex.

First time gentle and slow, and then rough, which is defined as being hard on the other person.

Many want to be the dominant partners and some want it quick and nonstop.

There are old fashioned opinions -which seek passion, you see, having sex is not just making love.

What do they learn from the incessant watching of porn? The need to experiment. I am obsessed with doggy style says one. Others add: role play, blind fold.

Which part of the body do they like to be touched? Most of them say neck - that is a tip for you guys. Back, boobs, thighs also figure.

What are the big turn offs?  Farting, burping, too much saliva.

Is there a Lakshman Rekha, anything they don't do?   Anal, blow job, whipping... But for some, there are no limits. As one sweetheart says she has done everything.

Pradeep Sangwan played for Delhi Daredevils for three years without much success and then shifted to KKR in 2011.  He also tested positive in a dope test conducted during the 2013 IPL season. He was banned for 18 months and this year he was back in IPL playing for Gujarat Lions

Media has gone to town with a story on Bihar Arts topper Ruby Ray, who allegedly said political science is about cooking. A video published by India Today shows the reporter murmuring a question, to which the nervous girl replies saying, "It is about cooking." It is further pointed out that she faltered in her pronunciation as well calling political science 'prodgical science’. The India Today report has been picked up by others, who are sharing the same outrage on the decline of standards, in India’s colleges.
If it is of such national importance to make fun of Ruby Ray, why not press the
reporter to ask a few more questions on other subjects (video below)

Media has gone to town with a story on Bihar Arts topper, Ruby Ray, who allegedly said political science is about cooking.

There are many things wrong with India Today report.  It says Ruby Ray is a topper in political science, who scored 444 out of 500. So, do we assume that she wrote several papers in the same subject amounting to 500 marks and scored 444 out of them.

There is no mention of in which exam Ruby Ray topped  - was it 10th, 12th or graduation or in something else.

Here are some facts to complete the reporting here.

Bihar intermediate arts(12th standard – arts stream)results were announced last Saturday. About 5.1 lakh students appeared in the exam and 2.8 lakh of them passed.

Rubi Ray of VR College, Kiratpur, Vaishali, topped the chart by obtaining 444 out of 500. This has been reported in several newspapers.

Ruby Ray is a topper in Arts, and not just political science.

Did she actually study political science as one of the subjects, we do not know? Did she understand what the reporter was asking? Was she too nervous to give a coherent response?

If it is of such national importance to make fun of Ruby Ray, why not press the reporter to ask a few more questions on other subjects. Why stick to one gem and go viral with that.

Many also suggested that Ruby Ray had come on top because of exam malpractices, which Bihar is notorious for. Where’s your proof?

Bihar officials seem to have a made a sincere effort to crackdown on malpractices. The pass percentage has come down by 20% this year.  About 56.73% of the students passed the examination this year, as compared to 86.47% last year.

And on how Ruby Ray pronounces political science, it is none of anyone’s business.

As he tweeted later it takes hours of practice to tie a safa, a style of Rajasthani pagari.  He also mentioned that the longest pagari he has tied was from a 150 meter cloth.

Rajasthani pagaris vary in style, colour and size. They also usually indicate a wearer's social class, caste and region.

Seven years after his sudden demise in 2009, Vishnuvardhan is being brought back to life in Nagarahaavu thanks to CGI technology.

Nagarahaavu was also the title of his debut movie in 1972.

Nagarahaavu 2016 released a trailer on Sunday, which went viral like a rocket, generating 1.7 million views, perhaps riding on the curiosity factor.

The trailer gives the first glimpse of  the Vishnuvardhan character with striking realism, not surprising as Makuta, the  company behind Baahubali special effects, is working on this as well. Over 576 VFX artists are said to have worked on the movie.

The film directed by the Kodi Ramakrishna of the Arundhati fame is four years behind schedule as the director fell ill first and then Ramya, the lead actress got busy with politics. Ramya plays a snake in the movie and Diganth is also in a lead role.

The movie is a supernatural thriller and the makers have kept a tight lid on the story line. But fans can expect good screen time for Vishnuvardhan character as special effects run for nearly half of the  two hour long movie.

At nearly Rs 50 crore, Nagarahaavu is among the most expensive Kannada movies made.

Hollywood has brought dead actors to life to complete movies or to score a creative point - Paul Walker, Oliver Reed, Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, Heath Ledger  and so on.

But if Nagarahaavu features the Vishnuvardhan character as the main lead, it would be the first time, a  dead actor has been revived to anchor a film, years after his death.

In the Mahindra electric car e2o ad, Sanjay Mishra threatens to pull everything apart and in the process showcases the new state-of-the-art features of e2o  (video below)-

    June 1, 2016, NewsCrunch

Mahindra has done an ad to sell its electric car e2o, using an out of the box idea, a fine script  and a match winning performance by veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Mishra.

It is an important ad which needed to convey that  e2o, a spruced up Reva,  overcomes the limitations of the original model - cramped space and basic features.

What better way than having an out of control hitchhiker Sanjay Mishra explore it part by part.

It 's Naveen Kasturia's girl friend's birthday and he is driving to the party. An overbearing Sanjay Mishra, whose scooter has broken down on a highway, gets in forcefully seeking a ride.

Once let loose inside, Sanjay Mishra threatens to pull everything apart and in the process showcases  the new state-of-the-art features of e2o - ample leg room in the back seat, a navigation monitor which can make calls and so on.

An annoyed Naveen Kasturia throws him out, but has a change of heart, when he comes to know  that the old man is a vet doctor, who was on his way to save the life of a cow.

The voice-over milks the feel-good sentiment that the ad builds up - Goodness is a choice you make. No wonder the video has gone viral.

The Mahindra e2o, previously REVA NXR, an electric hatchback, has a range of 120 km.

Pakistani media is agog with reports that TV star Qandeel Baloch would take part in Big Boss 10, a hit reality TV show hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan.

Qandeel Baloch told Dawn news that she had made certain terms and conditions to the Big Boss producers. “If they are met, I'll release a statement," she said without elaborating what those terms were.

The controversial celebrity has been sharing reports on her possible Big Boss 10 stint on her Facebook page.

She posted a message on Facebook on Tuesday saying, India, are you ready?

It is a little early to start reporting on the possible contestants for the show, which kicks off only in October. But given  Qandeel Baloch’s penchant for drama, she would be good for the Big Boss 10 TRPs across South Asia.

Qandeel Baloch was in news last when she offered to strip if Pakistan won T20 cricket World Cup of 2016. She had sent intimate messages to cricketers Shahid Indian and Virat Kohli and had trolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

If the reports hold good, Qandeel Baloch would become the third Pakistani after Veena Malik and Ali Saleem to feature in Big Boss.

Legal proceedings have been reportedly initiated against the godman
who abused the baby (video below)
    June 2, 2016, NewsCrunch

Social media outrage followed an extremely disturbing video, which showed a godman handling a baby violently.

The video titled Godman swings baby like a ragdoll was shared by a Facebook group Indian Atheists on Thursday.

The cross-dressing godman, in a saree and shirt, is seen dancing energetically to a religious song playing in the background. He is holding the newborn baby in one hand, over his head, and goes on to swing it in full circles.

He is surrounded by devotees, presumably including the baby’s parents, who are clapping their hands to the music.

The admin of Indian Atheists said the video had been sent by a friend a few days ago. The group seems to have deliberated before posting it as it has extremely disturbing content. Many viewers wanted the video to be taken down.

The admin did not disclose the identity of the godman or where the video was shot it, but noted that legal proceedings have been initiated him.
    .
In the comments section it was pointed out that the baby faced the risk of Abusive head trauma or Shaken Baby Syndrome. Due to the violent shaking, the baby could have suffered subdural hematoma, retinal bleeding and swelling of the brain.

The trauma could result in death or in life-long brain damage causing permanent disabilities such as blindness, cognitive and motor function impairments.

Times Now News Hour show ran a sting on  Rajya Sabha seats for for sale in Karnataka on Thursday night.

It is no secret that money bags buy their way to Rajya Sabha and in the coming election Karnataka makes for an interesting case study. JD(S) has 40 MLAs and is short of  five MLAs  to elect a Rajya Sabha member.

The party is also fragmented with a splinter group possibly aligning with the Congress.

The ruling Congress with 122 MLAs can elect two seats. It is hunting for 13 more MLAs to bag a third Rajya Sabha seat.

The scenario is tailor-made for cash-for-votes conspiracies and Times Now  steps in with candid camera to sting. It interviews several key players JD(S) candidate Farooq, Congress third candidate K C RamaMurthy, party leaders of Congress and JD(S)  and a few independents.

If you expected to see anyone counting money a la Bangaru Laxman in the Tehelka sting, you will be disappointed.

What you get to hear is several of them saying  Congress is promising development funds for non-party MLAs up to Rs 100 crore to develop their constituency.
