In a  new Bollywood sex scandal, an MMS video of actor Johnny Baweja's has gone viral since Friday.

The clip shows Johnny Baweja and a skimpily clad woman in a hotel room. While there is passion and kissing, they are fully clad.

Media outlets ran stories on the MMS clip comparing  it to other Bollywood sex scandals and raking up concerns about privacy.

There were many tell-tale signs that the viral clip was not your regular MMS leak.

MMS clips come either from mobiles or CCTVs and are grainy as a rule. This was a professionally shot video from different angles, including closeups, with enough attention paid to the lighting.

The face of the woman is carefully kept away from the camera, which nevertheless zoomed in on Johnny Baweja.

So, what was happening?

Johnny Baweja has told Free Press Journal that the 'sex tape' was rehearsal video from a film he is doing. He said he was surprised that the footage had got leaked and added that he was embarrassed by it.

Johnny Baweja was last seen in Bollywood in 2012 in Swen. He is a close relative of producer Harry Baweja and a cousin of Harman.

Like Harman's, Johnny Baweja's career has also failed to take off and many allege the leaked 'MMS' is just a publicity stunt.

Smriti Irani's Straight Talk - Video clips of combative interview with Barkha Datt goes viral

May 28, 2016, NewsCrunch

A nasty squabble broke out between Union Minister Smriti Irani and and NDTV star journalist Barkha Datt during the channel's show The Big Interview.

While both kept their voices low and resorted to nervous laughter, it was a no holds barred tussle between them.

The highlight of the debate, which the edited clip below shows, was Smriti Irani saying she knew Barkha Datt was not sexually inclined towards the female kind, forcing the journalist to clarify the question she had asked.

It went off like this:

Smriti Irani accuses Barkha Datt of leading attacks on right-wing women online.

Barkha Datt asks if she has ever targeted anybody or made a sexual slur on anybody.

Smriti Irani latches on to the latter part of the statement.  She says she knows that Barkha Datt does not have an inclination towards the female kind. "That is my understanding, so you would not make a sexual slur on a woman," she adds.

That forced Barkha Datt to clarify what she meant by not making a sexual slur on the women.  She said she had never insinuated that anyone had loose morals or slept her way to the top.

"What I mean is, I never done character assassination... don't your supporters do it... we can go on and on,"she said.

Smriti Irani's gripe was that giving an interview to NDTV would upset her supporters and fraternity. The channel was genetically designed to be loaded in favour of Congress or Left and had only been demonising the BJP leadership, especially Modi, she said.

The interview looked less like a formal Q and A and more like one upwomanship game with both interrupting the other, by trying to get their point across.

At one stage of the interview, Smriti Irani said, "I think the interview about me and not you.""...But you said so many things about me, I have to respond, said Barkha Datt.

The interview again brought out the difficult relationship between NTDV and BJP, where an informal boycott of the channel is slowly inching towards a formal declaration.

Aaron Finch struck a whirlwind half century to help Gujarat Lions to a challenging 162/7.

When he was on rampage, he flicked Barinder Sran for an unstoppable leg-side six. As the ball flew over the boundary rope, Cutting knew it was too high to go for a catch.

He jumped over the line, pushed the ball back before landing with a thud. The brilliant piece of fielding saved runs that proved to be crucial in  the final over of the match.

Ahmedabad fitness trainer Sapna Vyas Patel went viral after her photos were mistaken for Assam MLA Angoorlata Deka.

Sapna Vyas Patel is a social media star in her own right with a massive following on Facebook and Instagram, thanks to her inspiring story of losing 33 kgs in one year flat.

As a teen, Sapna Vyas Patel was overweight at 86 kgs. She accepted it, blaming it on the genes. It changed one day in 2009, when she was mistaken for the mother of her young niece.

She started her weight loss programme with false starts. She went on a crash diet to lose weight and the fat returned as quickly as it had gone.

She started reading about weight loss and realised that it had to be planned scientifically. She ate well in small portions but worked out rigorously to ensure that she burnt more calories than she consumed on the same day.

Sapna Vyas Patel engaged in a various physical activities – tennis, walking, workouts –which combined with intelligent eating ensured that her weight dropped to 53 kgs in a year.

She told Mumbai Gloss in a interview, “I successfully reduced weight without stretch marks, lose skin, dark circles and other side effects.”

It was what she did next that made her famous. She wanted to share her story, help others in the same boat. She started posting her insights and suggestions on social media and found that there was a ready audience for her.

Then the Angoorlata Deka episode happened making this daughter of a senior Gujarat politician a nationwide figure. Sapna Vyas Patel says she could have done without the new publicity.

Your train tickets just got Rs 30 cheaper, if you are paying for them through credit or debit cards.

The Hindu reports that Indian Railways has decided to waive off service charge on tickets purchased using debit/credit cards at computerised reservation counters.

That is the good news. The bad news is there is no clarity if the waiver has been extended to online ticketing as well.

There is also some confusion if the waiver is limited to card payments or applies to net banking as well.

Question 7 of the FAQ on IRCTC website says - Services charges Nill for all classes - adding to the  confusion.

The Railways move seems to be a follow up on a Union Cabinet decision in February this year to waive off service charge on card and online transactions to encourage cashless payments.

The cash-strapped Railways seems to have gone just the half way to implement this as service charges bring in a significant flow of money.

The percentage of people who make card payments at the counters would be small as they would rather get their tickets online. So by limiting waiver to the counter-level card payments, Railways get to implement a cabinet policy decision but without denting a revenue flow.

Time someone tweeted the Minister to clarify.

May 29, 2016, NewsCrunch

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, famous for her svelte figure, has posted an old photo on her Instagram page, in which she looks overweight for an actress .

Shilpa Shetty  says she was 32 kgs heavier when the old photo was taken.

The 5' 8 '' actress is now said to be 62 kg. So, when the photo was taken she would have weighed 94 kg, definitely on the heavier side.

Shilpa Shetty says she posted the ''not-so-complimentary photo'' to send out a message that if she could reduce from size 16 to size 8, anyone could .

The response to her photo has been good - in just a day it has drawn 16,000 likes and generated 350+ comments,

Shilpa Shetty has not mentioned when the old photo was taken.

The actress is said to have got plastic surgery to fix her nose twice. The first time the surgeon made it more curved than she wanted, requiring a second attempt to get it right.

The shape of the nose may suggest that the photo was taken around Baazigar, her 1993 debut movie, which also starred an upcoming actor called Shahrukh Khan.

There are also reports that Shilpa Shetty also took aid of the surgeon's knife to chisel her body by getting breast and butt implants.

But the actress has also been a fitness freak, a yoga proponent, who has also brought out a popular CD on the subject.

The 41-year-old actress began her career as a model in 1991 with a Limca television commercial. Her electrifying screen presence  in advertisements got her a meaty role in Baazigar, a box-office hit that earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

After Shilpa Shetty married Raj Kundra and gave birth to Viaan in 2012, she had put on about 20 kgs. She had made waves then by losing her additional pounds and getting back her pre-baby weight in less than six months.

She had advised new mothers that it took just an hour of daily exercise and eating right to trim the weight. Most mothers try to give an excuse that they are too busy for the activity.

But Shilpa Shetty says in the first nine months the baby sleeps a lot and that time can be used for hitting the gym.

TV channels are claiming that India has taken a step closer to bullet train with the starting of the trials of the Talgo, a made in Spain train. Talgo, a high-speed train, can hope to clock a maximum speed of 180 km per hour on Indian tracks. That is, it would run at roughly a little over half the speed of the Japanese bullet train, which achieves an operational speed of 320 km per hour. Talgo is more likely to achieve the current speed of India's fastest train, the Gatiman Express.
Unlike the ultra-expensive bullet train, Talgo offers a realistic alternative and promises to run on the existing infrastructure.

The bullet train project is on a separate track and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu hope to flag off the first train by 2013.

But unlike the ultra-expensive bullet train, Talgo offers a realistic alternative and promises to run on the existing infrastructure.

The Indian railways have started a three-phase trial of Talgo at Bareilly-Moradabad, Mathura-Palwal and Delhi-Mumbai routes.

Nine Talgo coaches filled with sand bags are being hauled by a 4,500 HP diesel engine in the first leg of the trial on the Bareilly-Moradabad route.

The officials hope to touch a top speed of 180 km per hour on the Mathura-Palwal route.

The Delhi-Mumbai route would be covered at 125 km per hour about 40 km per hour faster than the Rajdhani. It  would bring down the travel time between the two cities from 17 to 12 hours, reports The Hindustan Times.

Talgo comes with light weight aerodynamic coaches, which are cheaper to manufacture.

They are said to cost about  Rs 1.7 crore per coach while the average cost of manufacturing the current LHB coaches is around Rs 2.75 crore per unit, reports India Today.

Talgo also needs about 30 per cent less electricity as compared to the trains being used in India.

AIB's Tanmay Bhatt has taken on two holy cows of the nation, Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar, in an episode called Sachin Vs Lata Civil War

It is hilarious and has upset almost everyone. Media is calling it insulting, going too far and tasteless,

Stalwarts' tweets have begun to pour in as we speak, saying there is a Lakshman Rekha that should not be crossed when dealing with holy cows.

But if democracy means freedom of expression, which in turn means pointless humour which offends, so be it.

Anyway, what follows below - Tanmay Bhatt face-morphing both Sachin and Lata, and mimicking their voices - is brilliant stuff.

Sachin Tendulkar is jealous of Virat Kohli especially after 'Vinod' says the RCB captain is 10 times better than him. Hopping mad he asks his fans if they agree... Phuck they don't.

But Lata Tai steps into the frame and says Virat is a better batsman and she likes him better.

Now very angry, Sachin says she should stay out of this as she is 5,000 years old. And her face also looks like someone has kept it in water for eight days, he adds, and asks her to die.

Lata's comeback is noteworthy. If she dies, thousands will come and sing her signature tune. If Sachin dies, thousands will struggle to enact his signature move - adjusting abdomen guard!

Cincinnati Zoo officials were forced to kill an endangered  gorilla to rescue a boy, who had fallen into the moat.

They decided to shoot the 17-year-old magnificent animal after it grabbed the three-year-old boy and dragged him for around 10 minutes.

A disturbing video shows the boy sitting in front of the gorilla, which lays its hands on him. You can hear the terrified people, including the buy's mother, screaming in the background.

Initial reports said officials had tranquilised the animal to rescue the boy. But they seem to have decided not to take chances and shoot the animal dead.

The zoo officials have defended their action saying it was the right thing to do.

While it is impossible to know what  the gorilla would have done to the boy, there was a high probability it would have harmed him, if you go by the research on primate behaviour.

When Jane Goodall was researching on wild chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania, she had build a cage to lock up her young son.

After winning a Rajya Sabha seat from Karnataka for 18 years at a  stretch, Union Minister Venkiah Naidu has shifted  to Rajasthan, thanks to a Twitter campaign.

The surprise announcement by BJP on Sunday is a silent  acknowledgement to the strong Twitter opposition to his re-election from Karnataka.

Venkiah Naidu was set to file his nomination from Karnataka. Media reports had stated that Modi and state BJP strongman Yeddyurappa were in favour of his nomination from the state.

But the Twitter campaign fuelled  by pro-Kannada groups derailed is plans.

Many Kannadigas are upset that Venkiah Naidu had not done anything for the state despite enjoying such  a long innings. They started a Twitter hashtag #Venkiahsakkiah - enough of Venkiah - to drive home the message.

In a belated move to placate local opinion, Venkiah Naidu recently announced that Bangalore would be selected for the smart city scheme. But that seemed to have had no takers.

BJP, which is eyeing to oust Congress from Karnataka in the next Assembly elections, due two years from now, decided to send  Venkiah Naidu to Rajasthan, not wanting to rub the local opinion the wrong way.

But the Twitter campaign has only half succeeded.

Many were  demanding all parties to nominate only Kannadigas for Rajya Sabha from the state. They are upset that of the 12 members, three were from outside Karnataka.

In this case, BJP has has decided to field Nirmala Sitharaman, another Telugu, from Karnataka instead of Venkiah Naidu.

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit's debut TV serial  Bombay Hai Meri failed to get  Doordarshan's nod in the early 1980s.

A few photos of the pilot episode shot for the soap, shared by its director Anil Tejani, have begun to circulate. They show Madhuri Dixit  paired with Benjamin Gilani, also an FTII alumnus, like Anil Tejani.

In saree and bun, carrying the imprint of the spillover fashion of the '70s, Madhuri Dixit looks thin and resembles a very young Deepti Naval.

In the 1980s, before the arrival of cable, DD was the only way to make it big on the small screen and its rejection of Bombay Hai Meri would have meant a big set back for the aspiring actress.

Though Madhuri Dixit got a break in a Rajshri movie Abodh in 1984, her takeoff to Bollywood superstardom was anything but smooth. She delivered a string of flops till 1988, making many in the industry see her as jinxed.

Then Tezaab happened and there was no turning back.

Indian Express quoted a VHP office-bearer saying members were being trained on using airguns and lathis for self defence at the camp,

However, the police, who inspected the camp on Sunday, found no evidence of that.

"The police did not find anything objectionable. The women were being taught judo,” Varanasi IG S K Bhagat told the newspaper.

Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi ki har Khwaish pe dum nikle,
