 Martyr Capt (Hon) Fateh Singh's daughter Madhu Radha Katal led a huge gathering in paying homage to the fallen hero at Jhanda Gujran, his native village.  Capt (Hon) Fateh Singh, who was killed by the militants in Pathankot, was cremated with full military honours on Monday.  In a touching scene, Fateh Singh’s daughter Madhu Radha Katal lent her shoulder to her father’s body at the crematorium.

Martyr Capt (Hon) Fateh Singh's daughter Madhu Radha Katal led a huge gathering in paying homage to the fallen hero at Jhanda Gujran, his native village.

Capt (Hon) Fateh Singh, who was killed by the militants in Pathankot, was cremated with full military honours on Monday.

In a touching scene, Fateh Singh’s daughter Madhu Radha Katal lent her shoulder to her father’s body at the crematorium.

Madhu Radha Katal teaches English at a college in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh and had come to the Pathankot air force base for Christmas holidays.

Speaking to The Tribune, a despondent Madhu said she heard a loud noise, following which power supply to their quarter at the air base was shut off.

She said she got scared and crawled under a bed. She was informed after a few minutes that her father had been admitted to the Military Hospital in critical condition.

Fateh Singh, a former international-level shooter joined the Air Force after retiring from the Army.

He is survived by his wife Shobha Thakur, daughter Madhu and two sons, Gurdeep Rana and Nitin Thakur.
