A livid Bihar CM Nitish Kumar ensured that the VIP treatment to jail superintendent Kripashankar Pandey came to a quick end. The SHO of Kishanganj police station, Aftab Alam, who had defended the VIP treatment saying it was as per the Supreme Court order, has been suspended.
Kripashankar Pandey has been arrested on the charge of sexually exploiting a minor girl. Ironically, it was a video which was shot clandestinely and leaked that led to his arrest.
After his arrest, another video surfaced showing him enjoying prison life with a mobile, TV and bed at the Kishanganj police station.
The video came to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s attention who ordered the senior officials to take tough action, reports The Telegraph.
