An accident involving a thrill ride, Disco Dancer, at Kishkinta Amusement Park in Chennai killed one and injured seven on Wednesday.
Disco Dancer, that tilts like a mega coffee cup from one side to the other, was on a trial run after being grounded following Chennai floods.
A video shows a group of 20 people, identified as workers at the theme park, enjoying the ride, when it came crashing down from a height of nearly 15 feet.
Chennai police have arrested the owner of Kiskintha, Josh Punnish and manager Shathivelan under Sec 337 IPC and Sec 304(2) IPC. The workers have alleged that they were forced to get into the Disco Dancer ride as part of trials.
The condition of many injured is stated to be serious.
