Big media joins Twitter in body-shaming Fardeen Khan – guys, it’s not cool

 Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan is being mercilessly body-shamed for putting on weight.  The actor, who was last seen on screen six years ago, was recently spotted at the funeral of Sahara chief Subroto Roy’s mother looking obese and haggard.  The trolls targeted him mocking and making silly comparisons till the mainstream media joined in.

Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan is being mercilessly body-shamed for putting on weight.

The actor, who was last seen on screen six years ago, was recently spotted at the funeral of Sahara chief Subroto Roy’s mother looking obese and haggard.

The trolls targeted him mocking and making silly comparisons till the mainstream media joined in.

Daily Bhaskar had a hearty laugh that with its headline - Fardeen Khan Is the New Adnan Sami.

It blamed his looks for his lack of work and speculated that he hit the gym only when he had films in hand. “Fardeen Khan is a thing of past now,” the report noted.

It also noted that Fardeen had been battling weighty issues for many years and had tried hiring a renowned celebrity trainer and joining a popular gym in London.

India Today took aim saying Fardeen Khan had transformed from chocolate boy to rosogulla. It also noted that Twitter had gone LOL over Fardeen Khan's weight gain.

With a double chin and a pot belly, Fardeen is all set to give some serious competition to Bappi Lahiri, it commented.

There are also voices that have opposed body-shaming of Fardeen Khan.

Firstpostnoted that activists, who had slammed the body-shaming of Aishwarya Rai, at Cannes should also stand up for Fardeen Khan.
