ISIS video allegedly shows Thane student Fahad Tanvir Sheikh - Muslims not safe in India, we will come to take revenge, he says

ISIS has released a video which allegedly shows former Thane engineering student Fahad Tanvir Sheikh.

Dressed as an ISIS fighter, Fahad Tanvir Sheikh says ISIS will come to take revenge for the demolition of Babri Masjid and killing of Muslims across India.

“We will return with a sword in hand, to slice your throats, to avenge the Babri Masjid, and the killings of Muslims in Kashmir, in Gujarat, and in Muzaffarnagar,” he allegedly says.

Fahad Tanvir Sheikh and three other youths Aarif Majid, Amaan Tandel and Saheem Tanki, all from Mumbai’s Kalyan, had fled to Iraqin May 2014 to join ISIS.

Of them, Aarif Majid returned and is being held by the National Investigative Agency. Saheem Tanki is believed to have been killed in a bomb attack in Raqqa and whereabouts of Amaan Tandel is not known.

Indian Express, which broke the story, states that  the 22-minute video shows   four other Indian Muslims, who have joined ISIS.

Fahad Tanvir Sheikh further says, “The ATS, police and investigative agencies were after us. We somehow fled India, worked with the Mujahideen and reached Khorasan region.”

One of the men warns Indians to either accept Islam or pay Jiziya or “be prepared to be slaughtered”.
