HRD Minister Smriti Irani was locked involved in a bitter Twitter fight with Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi on Monday.
Here is a chronological reconstruction of the epic battle in which Priyanka Chaturvedi seems to have had the last word so far.
Priyanka Chaturvedi write a blog in NDTV.com describes how a troll threatened her rape and 'brutal killing like Nirbhaya".
A BJP supporter, Shefali Vaidya, comments that when Chaturvedi is trolled it is an attack on dignity of women, while poisonous slander against Irani is acceptable.
Chaturvedi responds saying a perceived threat to Irani gets her Z plus security, while she is struggling to get the rape and death threat investigated.
Irani, who is tagged by both Vaidya and Chaturvedi, steps in saying she does not have Z plus security.
It becomes a cat fight after that – gets personal and sarcastic. Rahul Gandhi, campus unrest and electoral defeats are called in till Smriti Itani drops off the fight.
