Two Kookaburras were locked in a battle for a sliver of meat, which was dangling from their beaks. Both the birds, native to Australia, had bit into the meat and neither was willing to let it go. Two Kookaburras were locked in a battle for a sliver of meat, which was dangling from their beaks.

Both the birds, native to Australia, had bit into the meat and neither was willing to let it go.

What was at stake was not hunger – they rejected larger slices of meat offered by Jig Magic, a human who also took a video.

It was pride they fought for sitting on a fence, eye ball-to-eye ball or beak to beak.

The reportedly duelled for over 30 minutes ignoring the humans in the vicinity.

Jig Magic says he tried to distract them by offering a large slice of meat. Then he covered them with tissues to keep them warm. He even put seashells on their head as hats to see if they would notice.

They shrugged off the seashells and continued to duel.
