Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri proved the adage that a week is a long time in politics by shifting his loyalty from BJP to AAP, though in a guarded way
On the ABP TV show Press Conference senior journalist Dibang asked Om Puri if he preferred AAP or BJP.
Om Puri tried to joke in response by asking if anyone was offering him an election ticket.
But he went on to say categorically that he preferred AAP to BJP. But he seemed to have become a little guarded while explaining his reason.
He said Modi had been voted to power by the entire country, while the people of Delhi had placed their faith in Arvind Kejriwal. He told Kejriwal that he was doing a good job and should keep it that way.
He also advised him not to run away the way he had done last time.
Ten days ago in a video that had gone viral, Om Puri had trashed Congress for trying to pitch Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate saying as he did not have any any qualification.
Om Puri had asked if Sonia Gandhi thought Indians were stupid to accept him Rahul prime minister and had said that the was no alternative to Modi.
He said, “He (Nihalani) is curbing people’s voice. This is just the film. They are not causing a revolution. They are not standing with arms in their hands..."
