A serial accident on Monday morning claimed two lives and left another battling for life.
A Honda city driven by a drunk youth Rishab, 21, hit all the three on a 1.5 km stretch. It continued at 100 kmph speed without stopping and was chased down by a police patrol.
Rishab reportedly could not even stand and the police found liquor bottles inside the car.
The first victim was 40-year-old Kameshwar Prasad, a morning walker, who died on the spot after getting hit by the car. Rishab drove on and next hit 40-year-old Santosh, who was cleaning cars.
It was the third victim Ashwani Anand, a retired businessman, whose death was caught on camera, that has brought out the full horror of the accident.
The CCTV camera captures Rishab driving in the wrong lane and hitting the 67-year-old Anand with such force he is flung in the air, crashes into a parked car, bounces off again to hit another, shattering its windshield.

The accident happens at the blink of an eye. Ashwani Anand’s walking partner, Vinod Kumar Mehta, continues to walk for a few seconds in a daze.
Ashwani Anand was out for a morning walk with Mehta.
“That car came from nowhere. It happened in a second. We did not even have the time to react. The moment I turned my back I saw Anand’s body lying at a distance,” Mehta told The Hindustan Times.
Mehta is a retired army official and lives in the Janakpuri neighbourhood.
“Anand was a person who made everyone happy. The atmosphere always used to be dull on the days when he did not come to the park,” Mehta said.
Anand, a resident of Janakpuri, leaves behind wife Mamta Anand and two daughters.
Rishabh, also from Janakpuri, was driving his businessman father's Honda City. He is a commerce student at a well-knownDelhi college.
