Blue whale, the largest animal to have ever inhabited earth still has many anatomical secrets locked in it.
In a possible first, The Royal Ontario Museum has acquired the car-sized heart of a Blue Whale and begun to study it. It took four people to extricate it from a washed up carcass.
It is five feet long, weighs 180 kg and pumps up 220 litres of blood every beat. It is so big a small person can swim through its aorta.
